Thread Name: Lyr Req: What a Mouth (Harry Champion)
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Jimmy Bean (What a Mouth!)
I can add the 'barmaid' verse and part of verse two (when Jim was a baby):

Jimmy'd often need to wet his whistle
Down at the bar at the Rose and Thistle
With a thirst like his he'd drink a hundred pots

First a hundred pints of beer he'd swallow
And then cos his teeth at the back were all hollow
He'd still have room for a dozen or so rum tots

A new barmaid came there one night
She saw Jim's mouth and screamed with fright
WHAT A MOUTH .....

When she saw Jim's mouth the barmaid hollered
Cos a pewter pot he'd accidentally swallowed
It was hot, that pot, it melted and now he sits
Down by the fire with a little bit of wire
And hooks up two bob bits

AND.....can someone help me with this?

.....I'll never forget the morning he cut his first tooth
..................
.....took him to the chemist's, and it's the truth

They could not get inside the door
Till they shut that baby's mouth, Oh Lor'
WHAT A MOUTH ....

As baby's a-teething, said his mummy,
Please, sir, can I have a penny rubber dummy?
Said the cove, 'By Jove', as he sucked a big jujube
'There's no rubber dummy for a penny that'll fit
You need a tuppeny tube!'
