AUSTRALIAN SONGBIRDS PLAY SHREWSBURY CONCERT

Three Australian singer/songwriters, each acclaimed in their own right, will be teaming up for a very special concert at Shrewsbury s Lion Hotel on Tuesday 7 October. Janette Geri, Beck Siàn and Michelle Chandler who are all involved in their own separate tours of the UK this Autumn found their concert paths crossing in Shropshire so decided to join forces for this night s performance.

Beck, who is the cousin of Kate Bush, explains, I ve played at festivals with Michelle and Janette across Australia but it s a pure coincidence that we re all touring in Britain this year. I love the haunted Adams Ballroom at the Lion Hotel where I ve played twice before so it seemed the natural place to choose for our combined concert.

Janette Geri is celebrating twenty-five years on the road but this will be her first UK tour as she launches her latest cd, Telling Tales , already getting airplay on radio stations across the country.

Michelle, a skilled guitarist and award-winning songwriter describes the evening at the Lion Hotel as, Three Aussie women with three guitars and three completely different styles producing three beautiful harmonies. We ll be singing songs in a Celtic, Blues, Country and World vein.
