I've wanted to see that pictograph, but haven't been up the Columbia for many years.

I have a lot of textiles from the family home in Connecticut. I have a Navajo blanket from aunts in Pennsylvania. They didn't take good care of it. I have rugs from Oaxaca that I have hanging on walls and some stored in trunks still. Lots of hand work, I think I need to do a revolving exhibition of it.

I would think twice about using Velcro on that rug. It will pull more fibres away from the body of the blanket and could cause snags to worsen. Or at least, use a "weak" Velcro, not one of the heavy duty military ones they use to stick jeeps in place when they're inside transport planes, etc.
