I hardly know where to start.... but here's a little bit, stream-of-unconsciousness:

First, Skarpi, you were absolutely missed. Next year? I'll keep practicing : ) Y'all others who couldn't make it were definitely felt there in spirit (Ebbie, KT, Allen and Carmen, Marge, Mike...... too tired to remember you all! What would happen if we ALL made it! the peninsula would slip in to the bay!)

Rita's right; the weather made it so perfect; warm sun, cool breeze, sparkling water filled with bright happy boats. What a lovely spot on the planet. And, not having been to West River before, I have to say Ramblewood is a cold and distant memory.

Speaking of Rita, how cute is SHE with the new 'do?! It is so good to catch up with you dear ones. And meet new faces! Clare, Genie, and some FSGW folks I'd not met before.

There were so many young faces there this time! It was nice to see and hear so many younger people who are truly interested, engaged, having fun and slipping right in there! Those FSGW folks I've heard lament the aging of the community should take heart; you're doing a great job passing the traditions.

The music was amazing, of course. New songs to learn, old favorites to share, great mix of workshops, presenters, etc. You guys do a great job of putting it all together so we only have to decide how to fit everything on the plate.

Random highlights: the back porch 'workshop' Saturday night, Barry as Fatima (that giggle sent cold chills down my spine), Dan and Geeta's imp of a boy everywhere making people smile, always the Gospel workshop (where Old and New Testament get down together to ring the rafters), Bobert's Bacchanal was truly... well, there are no words for it. You all played your hearts out, and I just wished it didn't have to end! Next year, on Friday night!!

More later...
