In Oliver Cromwell's England, people would give their children weird religious middle names -the famous Daniel "Praise-God" Barebones had a brother called "Worship Jesus or be Damned Barebones" ,but "Put thy Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and Flee Fornication Williams" was apparently made up, though "Deliverance" was a popular name for a girl.

My step daughter lives in Sicily with her partner, and has just had a baby son; they had to choose names from a list provided by the government.

Perhaps that's not SO BAD an idea?,
