Well come on over to my Party, Ruth! I'm being inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in a town called, Garden City, on October 30. The Do is at the Garden City Hotel, which everyone tells me is fine and grand. I feel a little embarrassed, being born and raised in my beloved Kentucky- but my NY husband reminds me that by now I have lived longer on L.I. than I did in Kentucky!!! True, but I still don't think that way about it.

Anyway- google the L.I.Music Hall of Fame and you'll see what great company I'll be keeping- I still cannot believe it. The bad news is the cost of tickets, with dinner, etc.- fairly pricey they say. Will I perform? They want me to, but I'm turning 86 on my December birthday, so my voice is cracking- and then I haven't a thing to wear..... Maybe I just won't go.
