Back in the late 1960s I saw an episode of "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour" where Ken Curtis (Festus) and Milburn Stone (Doc Adams) were guests. They mentioned that Curtis had been a member of the Sons of the Pioneers, and Campbell, Curtis, and Stone sat around and did a whole batch of Sons of the Pioneers songs. Amazing! The three of them sounded so much like the original group that it was downright uncanny!

The personnel of the group changed a number of times over the years, but their sound remained remarkably consistent.
