Why on earth should "convicted felons" be denied the right to vote, once they have served their sentence? Is this allowed under the constitution? It wouldn't in most democracies.

Has the supreme court ever ruled on this? After all I gather it has decided that being a convicted felons doesn't remove the right to have a gun.
