I got my gas and electricity bills this morning following the six monthly reading. I pay by monthly direct debit.

They owe me £115+ on the gas and have put up my monthly payment by £14.

They owe me £681+ on the electric but have kept the payments the same! They said that as I am spreading the cost of my electricity throughout the year the £681.97 they owe me would be carried forward as payment towards future bills.

Needless to say that after the initial shock I was straight on the phone.
