This morning, out and about on the town wearing my sunflower socks with my sandals as plus fours - so that's a double faux-pas in fashion terms; socks and sandals my wife can cope with, but not the plus fours. Anyway, I hold a door open for a perfect pair of bright shining eyes and the beautiful smiling face of a well-spoken lady who confides that she not only appreciates my old fashioned courtesy, but loves my natural style, socks and all, and would like a pair for the 77th birthday next week.
