Almost anything by La Bottine Souriante, especially if you don't speak Quebequois French.(I find vocal albums where I don't speak the language energetic, but not distracting) "J'vousdrais changer d'chapeau" has kept me awake on long car trips more then twice.

Another "I don't speak it...but I love it" is Värttinä "Seliniko"   (someday I'll find out what the ACTUAL translation of the part that sounds like "Anti-sexy" REALLY means!

Anything by Berryman/Berryman and Les Barker is cheeful, much so, but also,well, extraordinarily funny and absorbing. These require attention.
