I told Mary - if there is one thing worse than teenage angst it's mid-life crisis angst. Too many twiddly guitar bits, showing off his expertise and the songs were more rock than folk for me. Very disappointing.

As Mary said, the young lady who preceded him was excellent, an accomplished singer and musician. I'll be looking to get hold of her CD.

The real before the concert, chez TRUBRIT's, was excellent. Tom is a real gem who seems to be able to feed large numbers of people with no fuss whatsoever. I guess that, like the swan, all the effort goes on below the surface, but the result is always a meal that attracts the chosen like moths to a flame. Even Kendall, who has not been well this past two weeks, made the effort to come over for the meal.

Today it's the Press Room with Micca and, possibly, Mary, if she's out of bed and fit to go in time.
