The only reason people are pretending the paper money and digital money we have RIGHT now is REAL is because we'd all be in very deep shit immediately if we stopped pretending it was! We'd all be financially bankrupt. Everything would grind to a halt, and no one would know what to do. You'd have anarchy, total disorder, and the government would need to declare martial law and put troops on every street corner, and a lot of people would get shot.
