I usually have a pen and a slip of paper with me at a session, to note the name of an unfamiliar tune or song I find interesting. Then I check them out on YouTube afterwards. I might only get the name of one or two tunes each session, but that's enough to keep me going. A lot of young (and really good) players play unfamiliar tunes that they've learnt at Comhaltas or from the top players--can't keep up with them, though.
