Not to take away from this thread in any way , but about 20 years ago I bought a Gibson J-45 Sunburst from a drunk. I said to him,"come and see me when your sober and will talk". A few days later he came back and made the same offer. He was sober and remembered. I payed $300.00 I gave it to my brother Storming Norman as a Xmas gift with the only stipulation that he would never sell it. The guitar is still in his possession and he makes it sound great.
