have you looked in the freezer? Friends of mine were always trying the freezer after finding a lost item there.
Or maybe you need to look in THEIR freezer, which might be difficult as I've lost contact with them over the years.
Mooh, we had a similar scheme here to distribute old glasses to third world countries
