Most TV appearances were the comic spoofs they were most noted for, but I did happen to see Homer and Jethro on one occasion where they played an instrumental straight. You could hardly call it straight thought. They were both first rate and I began to notice their instrumental work in their comedy songs as well. They were both good musicians.
