Sarah Palin's expensive wardrobe and makeup artist are about as important campaign issues as John Edwards's $400 haircut (with an LA stylist making a 'house call' to do it) or Cindy McCain's wearing $280,000 earrings and a $20,000 suit at the RNC. That is to say, NOT important. (So why did the press and the Republicans basically bury John Edwards, long before the Rielle Hunter scandal, because of that haircut?)
As for the suggestion that Barack should have flown commercial, who does that Republican guy think he's kidding? (I'm sure we ordinary commercial passengers are oh, so eager to have our flights delayed and disrupted by Presidential candidates and the secret service being on board with us and all the extra in-terminal security precautions. Yep.)
I think the plane was a 767, but why the heck not? (How many vacations did Dubya take, using Air Force One to fly between DC and Crawford?) Anyway, Barack did do some campaigning while in Hawaii, in addition to visiting the woman who was like a second mother to him.
