there are so many nuisances like doubleclick and ad.yieldmanager that the mind boggles.

With some time & effort, you can edit your preferences in the menus to control cookies set by places like that, and allow cookies from Mudcat & what few others you trust.

I usually use Proxomitron to help me control the situation.... (there is now another program called "Webwasher" that does a similar job, but I am not familar with its details)

Of course, there are stand-alone "cookie-cruncher" programs that can do a lot also...I just us Proxo because it does a lot of other stuff also....like stopping links from opening in a new page whan I don't want that.
