I agree, leeneia. I rarely use songs actually written for children. We I do it's because they are good musically, have strong images and work as songs. I didn't like children's songs when I was a child.
I thought I might use "The Old Lady Who ..." but it will be unrecognisable by the time we present it.
Thank you all very much. Lots to look at here. Some I hadn't thought of. I'd like to use Poison Ivy -- but we have a child called Ivy in the production -- so maybe not.
I have a personal dislike of "Froggie Went a- courtin'" -- don't know why really, everyone else likes it.
