There is no justification. Everyone here knows that I am a gun owner. As a gun owner let me be very clear. A very thorough investigation needs to be done, and upon a solid evaluation and determination of whose negligence allowed this, someone needs to go to jail for a very long time. Honest accidents can occur with many objects. It is hard for me, given the respect I have for weapons and their potential for harm, to understand how an eight year old kid could be in the position to do harm to himself or others.
