Speaking from a male perspective.. I have what is called a double crown at the back of my head, where the hair chooses to grow its own way despite anything I try to do to it. It has been a pain in the ...whatever all my life. I could get it shaved off I suppose but then again it is going anyway so perhaps better live with it for maybe a few years longer.
Perhaps going to a good stylist might solve your problem.. but I am no expert.
