"I'm dreaming tonight of my blue eyes" was recorded in 1928 or 1929 by the Carter Family. It was recorded later (between 1933 and 1946) by Gene Autry.

You can find the Carter version on the album: "My Clinch Mountain Home" which is part of Rounder Records issue of their complete Victor Recordings.

The Gene Autry version is on the Columbia album: "The Essential Gene Autry" which is part of their Country Classics series. It covers the dates 1933--1946. He says he is "thinking" of his blue eyes instead of dreaming, but the melody is the same.
