Ha! I've been praying for years that the Earth would open up and swallow the entire Democratic and Republican party machines and they would both vanish without a trace. In the aftermath a new political system could be adopted, where:

Election campaigns are limited to 6 weeks.

All candidates are funded equally from a public purse.

All candidates get 100% equal air time to present their views.

NO on-air advertising allowed by any candidate...just show up on TV at scheduled times to debate each other and present platforms and ideas.

No polls either. Let people guess what the hell is going on if they want to and wait till election day to find out which candidate has more or less support.

No corporate sponsors. No big bucks into anyone's campaign from lobbyists or anyone else.
