That's really the only possible explanation for it. Bobby Kennedy had come out against the Vietnam War. A big part of the Weather Underground's activities were an effort to get the Vietnam War ended. There's just no way they would have been happy that Bobby Kennedy was killed or that they would be supportive of his killer(s).
