I know I said I would not be on Mudcat for a while but I will pop in to start this thread and check it. Stan James has died. He lived in Seattle for a long time and recently moved to the Arlington area.

His ex-wife will be going to his cabin to retrieve certain items. She might need some help if anyone lives nearby and could perhaps store guitars, tools, etc. for a while.

They also need help in contacting two sons of Stan..his oldest son, Jeff, and a son in Canada...some of you might know his mother.

I can be reached at 360-642-8049 until 10:30 or so tomorrow evening and then after 9:30 p.m. I will give his ex-wife's number to people I know and trust. They were still close.

We were just talking again about his plans for a folk-opera or something concerning the docks of Seattle int he 30s or so...centering around the Wawona. If someone is able to retrieve any of his archival materials and photographs that would be very important.
