I love the way no one dares mention the Telegraph(s) without some variation of the assertion that of course they'd never be seen dead with it.

And yet two years after I left the Daily, where I was the folk critic as a sideline to my main job, I still hear quite regularly from publicists, agents or artists hoping that I will do an interview, preview a gig or review an album.

But I suppose it's just their way of saying they'd never dream of reading it closely enough to know whether or not I was still there...
