Wait 'til this winter when th' crick's frozen over. Then take yer axe out t' th' crick an' chop a three or four foot hole in th' ice. Take some frozen crowder peas an' sprinkle 'em around that hole in th' ice an' then go hide someplace nearby. Then, when that ol' bear comes to th' crick an' bends over t' take a pea, sneak up behind him an' kick him in th' ice hole.
