As a garden variety socialist myself, I understand the difference between radical and liberal, however progressive. Most Americans do not.

With the coming and going of the millenium, I am hoping those who say "liberal" with a sneer will retreat to the frings where they belong, the republicans will return to the center of their range, and a National Health Plan, which we desperately need, will begin to happen.
