I have some of these in a set I got off the rack at the local Christian bookstore, called the Country & Western Gospel Hymnals. This wonderful and BADLY mistitled collection (4 or 5 volumes) has lots of old-time and southern gospel hymns, with 4-part harmonies and chords included. These have audio tapes-- not every tune is included but some that you want may be.There are also some Sankey pieces in the Gaither Homecoming series songbooks (also 4 or 5 volumes). The Gaither people also have other sets of songbooks, but I do not know if chords are included. The Homecoming stuff (videos, CD/tapes) are LOADED with thre old stuff.
Now Alfred Brumley stuff, including Brumley arragements of Sankey et al, are in a set of little Brumley books I have.
Then there is a Hal Leonard Paperback Hymnal that, as I recall, includes Sankey and Fanny Crosby and all sorts of old greats.
Please let me know if more info is needed and I will try to supply it. My resources are all at home, and I'se at work, so please let me know what you need specifically and I will lug it into work to help if I can!
Wonderful stuff. What are you planning on doing with it? We use it in our Saturday night service, Episcopal church, very laid back service. And in our song circles.
