Thread Name: NZ radio streaming folk
Subject: NZ radio streaming Folk on Sunday
For the past 12 years Mitch and I have presented a one hour folk music show on Kidnapper's Community Radio, the little Access Radio station in our part of the world, Hastings, Hawke's Bay. Our listeners were limited to within a radius of about 100 miles, from Dannevirke to Wairoa.
Our information page is here: http://www.radiokidnappers.org.nz/prog_fos.php
Recently the powers that be have made some changes - Mitch understands it better than I do and he has posted the following on Nz-folk:

To all those who've said, "I wish I could hear your programme..."
The Good Fairy has waved the magic wand and granted your wish. If you have a broadband connection, you should be able to hear Folk on Sunday from 3pm this Sunday afternoon - 0200 GMT Sunday for listeners outside New Zealand, about 7pm Saturday evening US Eastern time. You'll need to consider your time zones because a friend in Northumberland tuned in – a day too late!

Because there may be a change of server in the future, the best way is go to http://www.radiokidnappers.org.nz and click on the inconspicuous 'Internet Audio' tab of the navigation bar (upper left). This will display a page with two buttons on it for streaming and download.

Apparently the content is only available while we're live on air, and won't be recorded for download because of copyright restrictions on music.

We hope our broadcast will fulfil your expectations.
