Emma's point is fair, and she isn't the only woman to make it in this thread. But she needs to lighten it up. And I resent her "stupid schoolboy sniggering" comment if it was addressed to those of us that were simply trying to steer our buddy away from this.

You want serious discussion? I am far more outraged at McCain's selection being made on the basis of finding someone with the views she has, but he chose her because of all the wrong reasons. I find it telling and sexist that he and his advisors thought they could woo the Hillary supporters by picking a nut who was equipped with nice boobs, a vagina, tight skirts, and a smile. You saw the Couric interview, the debates, and the complete lack of knowledge on world issues. As to a lecture on women being objectified, I don't disagree. But I surely am waiting for you to turn your wrath on those that would return women to the alley behind the Doctor's office, bleeding and dying. That is the ultimate objectification.
