Add my voice to the chorus. Sandy and Caroline's music and personal warmth changed my life forever when I met them in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at the impressionable age of 17 (nearly 30 years ago). Then, as now, they took the time to meet and talk with people, and to introduce newcomers to more-seasoned folk. Their inclusiveness, as much as their wonderful music, has left its mark far and wide. As for me, the Patons introduced me to a magical world of music and friends beyond the narrow and judgemental confines of Dutch Calvinism with which I'd grown up -- music and friends, including the Patons, that still nurture me today.
