STOP PRESS!!       ELSIE`S. SAT.,NOV.,29th

      Regretfully, due to ill health we are obliged to cancel the advertised appearance of Joe Whelan, Liam Farrell and Reg Hall (The Folk Diary Oct/Nov 2008).
       We are, however, fortunate that, at very short notice, "The Other Band" are able to stand in on this occasion so come along and hear Iris Bishop, Marilyn Bennett and Gary Holder with their unique and superb selection of songs and music. It will be a revelation to many of you to see Iris playing virtually non stop for she is also on duty with "Elsie`s Band"(she drew the line at running the bar though). Good Gracious!. Does this girl ever stop?
       We are to be found in "The Queens Arms" on the B2026, mid-way between Edenbridge and the A264 (Tun.Wells to E.Grinstead road). "Adnams" all the way (no lager sold here, see), no childrens room, free sausage rolls and if you wish to do your thing make yourself known to Tony. We, "Elsie`s Band" get the show on the road about 8.30pm and the evening should go on till about 11.30pm.
