FWIW, slightly than 35 years. We ran open concerts and the nightly affair of the Fringe from about 1968. The FolkSoc meetings would pay small fees to newly professional singers several years before that.

Some of my old friends will be performing in the mentioned ceilidh - I truly wish I could make it to that and the whole Carrying Stream Festival.
