Sheena: First off pick up Volumes One and Two of the Folk Song Encyclopedia by Jerry Silverman and Irish Fiddle tune for Guitar from Mel Bay Publications. You don't say where you're from but if you are anywhere near a univerity you doubtless have a good music store around. Secondly Join Mudcat!! There is a wealth of information available here and people on both sides of the "Big Pond" who have a wealth of knowledge and the love of sharing to help. Third check out Aine's song book and maybe post a message to her. They don't come more Irish on this side of the Atlantic and don't forget to check out the digital tradition!! (Hey I found the lyrics to "Long, long Trail" after looking for years in under five minutes.) WHere are you located? If I can I'll try to help. I am putting together a Civil War songbook and I do feature several Irish tunes in it. Contact me at writer@a-znet.com Reguards, Neil
