Lin just this evening called my attention to a note on one of her genealogical sites that purports that if George Washington had taken the title of King of the new US as some urged him to do, and if hereditary reign was passed as was implied, our current king would be a 72 year old guy (identified in the report) living, I believe, in Washington(?) state.

We could'a come out ahead on that one, maybe. They didn't give his political bio.
