Yes, Norman D, I'm sure that's right. Listening to him singing on those Asch 'Union Boys' recordings makes me wince. Then there's that famous photo of him and Woody Guthrie readng 'Hobo News'. I suppose he's like Blair in moving across the political spectrum for his own purpose.
