One other comment regarding cookies. With IE5, it is possible to have some sites designated as trusted sites. This feature could be used to allow a select few sites to be able to send cookies while blocking the remainder of sites. I have just tried setting http://www.mudcat.org as a trusted site and asked to prompt for cookies. I reset my mudcat cookie and it worked OK.
