Mary, you don't have to listen to all their crap, do the lobsters, for christsakes, you're in Maine! Dam downeasters, they won't give away any of their secrets, bastards. They want it all for themselves. Next thing you'll be hearing about is chicken soup. How far's the nearest chicken farmer an' how far's the nearest lobsterfolk? See! Many of the folk believe that for medical finds, all you need to do is use what's closest to you, nature will provide what's needed. I'd advise you to cook the lobster in a hole in the ground, line it with hot rocks, once you have the hole lined with the hot rocks toss on the lobsters & then cover them over with fresh, still damp seaweed. The heat from the rocks coming in contact with the moist seaweed will cause the lobster to steam cook. Don't let this valuable steam go to waste, sniff it, really, sniff it like it's the last bit of fresh air you're ever gonna sniff. EVen better if you can get a blanket & cover yourself in a way that you yourself are getting a bit steamed too. The native indians swore by this treatment! That's why they cooked lobsters inside their teepees, they went for the natural thing whole hog. No, I didn't mean you should invite a hog, whole or not under the blanket with you. As for those chickenshits who'd advise you otherwise let them make soup when they're sick, you do lobsta. If after a couple of these treatments you're feeling better you might want to, for faster relief, try adding to on or onto, the sides of the lobsters some fresh clams (DEAD ONES are no good) & some fresh ears of local corn (Indian corn is the best) & try drinking some 'woad', don't do applecider, espically if it's aged. Hey. the pilgrams survived & knew that the Indians weren't nobody's fool.
