Correction to the above post - this performance is in aid of the Friends of Fleetwood Museum - a group of local people who support the museum in various ways. It is currently being run by volunteers under a Trust which took on the organisation after Lancashire County Council withdrew professional staff and threatened to close the museum in a cost-cutting exercise.

The museum was successfully run under this arrangement through 2008 and looks set to continue, with plans afoot for increased access to the Harriet, and other developments being considered.
