serious question.. no seriously.. it is..

Fridge freezer bulb just died after well over 15 years constant daily use since new !!!
So, I need to get a new one.

Will any 15 watt bulb with the same screw fitting,
thats near enough the same size to fit inside the wire protective harness,
do.

Or are fridge bulbs some sort of special material and construction ?
to justify the £7 to buy one online from Hotpoint spares shop.

mind you, 15 years.. is that a record..
or just average high standard for early 90's 'Made in England' factory production.
