Haha! I was just looking the lyrics to a version of the song that I knew growing up that ended up being completely different from the recorded versions (check iTunes, there are fourteen on there alone) but I only remember one verse from it other than the modified chorus I'd known:

I know it's completely different from the original story and context but that's what I was taught. That song was one of my childhood favorites :)
