Jeri, I think you are making some rather sterotypical assumptions about how caves were decorated. I would imagine that ferns were part of a typical cave back in the good old days and most cave men would want nice things in their caves. I would assume that as soon as the first cave person discovered fire, everyone was decking out their humble abodes with torches. Soon every cave person probably had a set of wheels in the front yard and I would bet even back then that cave men judged people based on the size of their wheel.
