I'll play Suzanne for you when next we meet, dick. ;-) I think it's a lovely song that got damaged mostly simply by being covered way too often by way too many earnest young folksingers.

The first time one heard it, though, it was lovely. Fast forward ten years, by which time you've heard it at least 80,000 times, and mostly by people who gave it a rather callow and unconvincing rendition...and you could get quite fed up with it. As they say, "familiarity breeds contempt".
