This fiercly celebratory song, powerfully evokes the caravan of travelling pilgrims as they sing and dance their way, mile upon mile across dusty earth to the shrine of Our Lady.

I'm right there with them and am always compelled to get up and dance barefooted to this any time I hear it. Which is course the whole point of such a song!

I must confess I don't know what the Latin means. I'm just happy to sing along with the chorus. And experience in that moment of immersion, the knowledge that in my own way in my own life, I too am a member of that caravan.
