When forth I ventured tae climb Goatfell

A braw young lad in brogues and kilt
The silken grey clouds in the sky
The tarns of mist of mist all floating by
And so that day amongst the heather
Small wonder I did wonder whether
Was that the Ptarmingan's plaintive note?
Or Tam the Bam frae Saltcoats.
