Where Cupid's power is not,-

The moonlit nights are jolly, too,
When on the river's breast
We glide along the water blue,
With one we love the best;
Or, with a happy company,
Go yachting down the bay,
And "splice the mainbrace" coming back,
To pass the time away.

'Tis fun to take a trotter out
Upon the snow-clad road,
With furs and robes to keep us warm,
When two make just a load;
'Tis also nice to do the dance
And trip the mazy toe,
Or for a quiet little chat
Upon the stairs to go.
