Bonnie! You did House Carpenter and I missed it! Hope you don't mind if I ask you to repeat it at another session.

A few things stand out from last night: Ivan, "Constant Lovers" was marvelous; I loved two particular songs that Den and Dave O sang, but can't remember what their titles were. Anyone remember 'em?

And of course, I'm happy every time Mbo sings "39," my favorite among favorites of Queen songs. And I'm startin' to think I need to look into some Oasis CDs one of these eons. Cool stuff.

My Mom was visiting, and we hung out in Beth's office for HearMe. Mom really loved the whole experience (esp Aine's Gaelic poem!). I hope we can get her to come back to both HearMe and the 'Cat one of these days.

I sang (with a little help from Mom and Beth):

When my sister an niece arrived, after HearMe was done, at grandma's encouragement I sang "Welcome To Our House" for my niece. Predictably, my sister looked slightly uncomfortable but laughed a little, and my niece was giggling the whole time. Then I sang "A Place in the Choir" for her, and everyone giggled. I need to do that one at HearMe some time, but you really need little kids around for that one to help out with the moos and howls.

First time I ever sang "Draft Dodger Rag" in public was at an open mic at a college bar (not necessarily what you'd call a folk forum). There were several short-haired ROTC types who were scowling at me when they heard the title and the first line or two. By the second verse they were chuckling, and by the end laughing uncontrollably....

Great noises one and all. Thanks for entertaining my Mama so....
