I found the site linked below referenced in an earlier Mudcat thread and I go back to that site from time-to-time. I was there today, poking around through the articles, and was once again impressed with the volume of valuable info at this site! This is a great site for the 'care and feeding' of your stringed instruments, and has lots of great info the instruments and their history; real useful stuff!!
